Long-running relationship with the Federal Institute of Goiás, tied to the Metabotix open technologies laboratory at the Luziânia campus.

Robot controller board

Designed a deliberately minimal controller for classroom robots, cheap enough to be assembled by students:

• ATtiny85 — 8-pin Atmel microcontroller, 6 usable I/O pins
• L293D — dual H-bridge, 2 pins per motor, 4 pins per robot
• 7805 — linear voltage regulator

The naming brainstorm for the board produced Pequi-nino, Gyn-duino, Gyrino, Ardu-gyno, GB-ino, Sumoduino and Just-Do-Ino.

Goiânia workshops

Multi-day free robotics workshop with full component, tooling and consumables planning per group, plus the Xduino board design files and an accompanying talk on free robotics.
